biography
Living and working between Milan and Lugano, Lucrezia Roda is a visual artist who primarily operates through the medium of photography.
Her vision, personal projects and commissions are mainly devoted to industries and the transformation of the matter during industrial phases, which she processes and interprets through photography.
Her artistic vision is defined by her command over colors and meticulous attention to detail.
An integral part of her creative process lies in postproduction techniques and her images are best experienced in large fine- art printed formats. Mainly known for her work on steel industries (“STEEL-LIFE”), with industrial landscapes or abstract images, Lucrezia Roda blurs the lines between industrial photography and personal research. She has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, in various locations including the Institute Culturel Italien de Paris, the Arts House at the Old Parliament (Singapore) and the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi (Vietnam). Among her recent projects is “GLASS POWER”, taken to the historical glass manufacturer Venini in Murano, featured in the book ‘Venini – The Magic of Glass’ published by Rizzoli in 2023, and exhibited at the Cortesi Gallery in Lugano. Her latest project is “INSIDE LAMBORGHINI”, produced at the historical Automobili Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Her works grace collections, including the Dino Zoli Foundation and the 3M Foundation.
